Single-Origin Coffees

Spectacular coffees cultivated by our partners at origin deserve the utmost respect while under our care. Driven by a relentless pursuit of coffee perfection, we lovingly roast each single-origin coffee in a separate, small batch to bring out each lot's magnificent flavors and aromas.

Banko Gotiti

Ethiopian Heirloom
Once in awhile a coffee comes across our tasting table, that is just so good we can't pass it up. The village of Banko Gotiti is in an area of Yirgacheffe that's farther to the south of where we have traditionally bought coffee, but produced some of the most extraordinary coffees we have tasted. This particular lot of coffee comes from a private washing station focused on quality and offers notes of honeysuckle, lemonade, and raspberry-peach that simply wowed us.

Finca El Puente

MAY FEATURED COFFEE
Catuai

Counter Culture Direct Trade Certified
Finca El Puente is a special coffee and truly close to our hearts. We discovered it on our very first trip to Honduras, fell in love with it then, and have been head over heels ever since. Moises Herrera and Marysabel Caballero – the couple who run the farm – have become like family, and this year they continued the tradition of refining an already-great coffee. This harvest of Finca El Puente brings lighter purple-lavender and plum notes, black cherry, sugar cane sweetness, and toasted nut in the finish. View Map.

Finca Santa Elena

Bourbon
Counter Culture Direct Trade CertifiedCertified Organic
Finca Santa Elena is a rare and special place. Overlooking the beautiful Lake Coatepeque on the eastern slope of El Salvador's Santa Ana Volcano, it is one of the very few organic coffee farms in the country. We've built a relationship with Don Fernando Lima – owner of Finca Santa Elena – to reserve the best lots for us. Using better picking and washing techniques, Don Fernando created a unique and extraordinary Bourbon variety coffee with notes of pear, nougat, and orange. View Map.

Finca Santa Elena Pacamara Microlot

Counter Culture Direct Trade CertifiedCertified Organic
Pacamara, created in San Salvador in 1958, is a hybrid of El Salvador’s own Pacas variety and the big-bean Maragojipe variety. As such, a Salvadoran Pacamara is a classic expression of the variety – especially as grown near the top of the Santa Ana volcano on Finca Santa Elena. This year, Don Fernando Lima separated his Pacamara for us again, giving us a glimpse at the pure varietal character of the coffee – guava, brown sugar, and spice notes. View Map.
